commissions - quentin the lizard

gallery

Quentin the lizard resides on the back of the old grain store of Le Monastere.

The name Le Monastère, comes from the convent of Visitandine cloistered nuns who lived there from 1941 to 1997. It is located on land cleared and developed by the monks in the early 11th century.

Today this is a collection of houses and flats created from the original manor house/convent and it’s out buildings. This is now the family home of Nicol and John.

The village of Vouvant is located in the Vendee region of France and is a medieval village surrounded by rampart walls. It is steeped in history and people come from far and wide to visit its 11th Century church.

It is a popular centre for artists and on a number of days the artists throw open their homes and showrooms to exhibit their arts and crafts. The village has been awarded the accolade of being one of France’s prettiest villages.

Why Quentin? Tarente is French for Gecko!
